Therapy in English, for the life you're building here.

I'm Hannah. Whatever brought you in, anxiety, grief, a relationship straining under the weight of a new life, what's actually going on for you is what we'll spend our time on.

Who this is for

Does any of this sound familiar?

Life here looks good on paper, and I feel guilty that I'm still struggling.

My Spanish is fine for work, but I can't reach the real thing in a second language.

I'm exhausted from holding it together for everyone at home and everyone here.

I've always suspected my brain works differently, and I want to actually find out.

I left a whole life behind and I don't know who I am in this new one.

I want someone who gets the expat thing without me explaining it first.

About

Why I do this work

See how we can work together

I've moved countries many times, first as a teenager and then as an adult. I know what it is to live somewhere beautiful and still feel like a guest in it. To miss people who are asleep when you need them. To quietly grieve the life you left, even though leaving was your idea.

My style is warm and fairly direct. I'll meet you where you are, and I'll push a little when I think it will help. You won't get vague nodding from me. If something isn't working, I'd rather you tell me and we change it.

What I offer

Three ways we can work together

Everything is online, so where you are in Chile doesn't decide whether we can work together. Sessions are 50 minutes, and we talk about fees openly before you book anything.

Two people's hands during a session
01

Individual therapy

Ongoing one to one sessions for whatever is actually weighing on you. I draw on ACT, CBT, DBT and mindfulness, and I fit them to you rather than to a manual.

  • Anxiety, overwhelm and burnout
  • Relocation, culture shock, homesickness
  • Identity, self-esteem and belonging
  • Low mood, grief and life transitions

02

Psychological assessment

A careful, structured evaluation for when you want a real answer instead of another internet checklist. For you, or for your child.

  • ADHD and autism
  • Anxiety and mood
  • Available as a standalone service
  • Written report and feedback session

03

Coaching

Goal-focused support without the clinical frame, for people who don't want therapy but do want a sharp, honest thinking partner.

  • Career and work transitions
  • Focus, follow-through and systems
  • Confidence and self-advocacy
  • Building a life abroad on purpose
My approach

Evidence-based, human first

Good evidence and a good relationship aren't opposites. I use methods that have research behind them, and they only do anything if you feel safe enough to be honest with me. So that part comes first.

Culturally grounded

Your background, your languages and the place you left all matter. I bring curiosity rather than assumptions about what your life should look like.

Trauma-informed

We understand how the past shapes the present without rushing you, and without treating your responses as a character flaw.

Neurodiversity-affirming

ADHD and autistic ways of thinking are differences to work with, not defects to correct. The goal is a life that fits your brain.

Practical and honest

You'll leave sessions with something to actually do or notice. If I think you'd be better served elsewhere, I'll tell you and help you find it.

How it works

Starting is simpler than it feels

1

A free 20-minute chat

We meet online, you tell me what's going on, and you ask me anything you want. We cover fees and availability too, so nothing is a surprise later. No charge, and no obligation to book.

2

Your first full session

We go into your history properly and work out what you're hoping for. You'll leave knowing what we're doing and why.

3

Ongoing work, at your pace

Usually weekly to begin with, less often as things settle. We check in on how it's going as we go. This stays yours to steer.

Questions

The things expats actually ask

If yours isn't here, ask me in the intro call. Nothing is too practical or too awkward, including money.

Ask me directly

Do I have to be in Santiago to see you?

No. Everything happens online over secure video, so you can be in Santiago, Valparaíso, Puerto Varas or halfway up a hill with decent wifi. All you need is a private space, headphones and about an hour.

My Spanish is fine. Is therapy in English still worth it?

Very often, yes. People can be fluent enough to negotiate a work contract and still find that grief, shame or childhood memories live somewhere their second language can't quite reach. If you find yourself narrating your feelings rather than feeling them, that's usually a sign.

I don't know how long I'm staying in Chile. Is that a problem?

Not at all. That's most of the people I work with. We can set up a short, focused piece of work with a clear endpoint, or work open-endedly if you're settling in. A move within Chile doesn't interrupt anything.

What happens in the free 20-minute call?

You tell me roughly what's going on. I ask a few questions, tell you honestly how I'd approach it, and answer anything you want to ask, including the awkward ones about cost, credentials and fit. If I'm not the right person, I'd rather we both find that out in twenty minutes than in twenty sessions.

Can you assess me, or my child, for ADHD or autism?

Yes, and you don't need to be in ongoing therapy with me. A proper assessment takes time: a detailed history, validated measures, collateral information where it's relevant, then a written report and a session where we go through what it all means. It is not a fifteen minute questionnaire and a label.

What does it cost, and can I claim it back?

I'll give you the full fee in the intro call, before you book anything, and I'll tell you if I think a shorter piece of work would serve you better than an open-ended one. I can send documentation for you to claim through your insurer. Whether a plan reimburses sessions with a psychologist abroad varies a lot, so check with them and bring the questions to me.

What if I have a crisis between sessions?

Online therapy is not an emergency service, and I'm not available around the clock. That's an honest limit of the format rather than a lack of care. Early on we'll build a simple safety plan together. In Chile, *4141 runs 24 hours, 131 reaches an ambulance, and Salud Responde is 600 360 7777.

Get in touch

Let's see if it's a good fit

Reaching out is usually the hardest part, so keep it small: pick a time, or just send an email and ask me something. Either is fine, and neither commits you to anything.
